Why are we here, you ask? We think it’s about time that everyone knew about allergies, especially food allergies; what causes them, what the symptoms are, why do they happen, blah, blah, blah. And if YOU are an itchy kid, we want to help you to learn how to deal with it all. The Itchy Kids Club is not only for itchy kids, it’s also for people who want to learn about allergies and want to help spread the word about the severity of food allergies. By doing your part and spreading the word, you are just starting to “scratch the surface” about understanding food allergies…sorry, I couldn’t resist!
An itchy kid is someone with food and/or environmental allergies, asthma, and/or eczema. If you have any of these things, you know how uncomfortable it can be just getting through the day. Allergies can cause pain, discomfort and itchiness inside your stomach, in your eyes and ears, on your skin, even in your mouth…ugh! I’m itchy just thinking about it.
